The NS app is the official planning application for the Dutch Railways.
The app has the following features:
- Realtime journey planner
- Timetable of departing trains per station
- Summary of Planned work and disruptions
- Station specific information regarding facilities and shops
- Notifications regarding delays of a saved trip
Permissions:
- We use your location to show nearby train stations
- We use permissions for "Photo's/media/files" to save temporary files for Google Maps. This allows maps shown in the app to be faster. The app doesn't use or have access to your pictures or other media.

I am constantly disappointed by this app's account administration section. At least twice a week, it cannot retrieve the information under MijnNS (journeys, sharing codes, invoices, etc). When it shows 'something went wrong' message, it says 'contact the system administrator with this reference number', but does it say HOW to contact system administrator? of course not. A poor app for account admin. It works most of the time for journey searches.

App hides perfectly valid and legitimate itineraries from the planner (no idea or indication why), and the information in the app doesn't match what's at stations and in trains, so you can't even really reliably use it for actual travel planning. And that's apart from all the other ways this app is broken (payments, account login, bad ui)

Please revert or allow us to turn off the feature that changes my saved trip when the app notices I'm on a different train. ("We have adjusted your notifications to the train you are currently travelling on") I saved the trip for a reason, don't remove or change my saved trips pls. Otherwise a good app, but this will ruin it.
